Welcome to GoContractor! This series is designed to walk you through all the stages of getting your account set up. In this four-part series, you'll learn everything you need to know about using GoContractor, such as how to create divisions, projects, courses, and qualifications, as well as how to invite subcontractors.
Some key things to keep in mind before you get started:
- Make sure you are an administrator under the general contractor account level. If you are not the administrator, you will need to contact one to make these changes or have your permissions updated.
- Have all of your course materials and approved content requirements ready. GoContractor does not provide customization to PowerPoints or videos, so all of your content must be finalized before uploading.
- Only invite other administrators whom you trust to perform and manage the same actions and content described below.
- These setups need to be done on a desktop device for proper results and functionality.

The GoContractor Administrator Getting Started Series
Part 1: Creating a Division and a Project

- Divisions are the parts into which your GoContractor account is broken down—often by regional locations, groups, or companies—that have projects nested below them. So the first thing you want to do when setting up your GoContractor account is create divisions that are aligned with your company's current structure. This will help you organize your projects in a way that makes sense to your team, which will allow them to quickly find relevant information so they can invite workers to the correct projects. Then once your divisions are in place, you can begin creating projects that are nested below their appropriate division.

- A course is a visual slide presentation that workers are assigned prior to coming to the worksite. At the end of each course there will be a final quiz in order to assess that workers have understood the orientation and the rules and best practices of the worksite, as well as your company standards.
Part 3: Creating and Applying a Worker Qualification

- A qualification is the collection of requirements a worker or subcontractor company must complete in order to become compliant and gain access to a worksite. Components of a qualification can include safety orientation courses, OSHA 10/30, SafePass, other certifications, as well as basic worker information, such as their date of birth, phone number, and emergency contact details.

Part 4: Inviting Subcontractors to a Project

- At this point, it's time to invite your subcontractors to your project. A subcontractor administrator should be your main point of contact at the subcontractor company, who is responsible for who comes on the worksite and ensuring workers are qualified/compliant.
- As a general contractor administrator, it is your duty to educate your subcontractor administrators on using GoContractor. We recommend sharing this Subcontractor Administrator Training Guide with all of your subcontractors after inviting them to a project.
