On August 1st, 2022, we're updating how you manage the people you work with on GoContractor, including:
- Your directly employed workers
- Your subcontractors
- Your admins and managers
Adding Direct Employees as Workers
Instead of viewing and adding workers under User Invitations, you'll see a section at the top of the menu labeled Workers. Previously, this list included your workers, admins, and managers. Now, this is just your workers.
To add a worker who works directly for your company (not a subcontractor), click the +Worker button and check off which projects you'd like that worker or group of workers to have access to. This can be edited in the future.
All workers added to your platform via the +Worker button will be listed as an employee of your own company, the same as the system currently works.
Instead of inviting your subs by selecting Sent Invitations, you'll see a section in the menu labeled Subcontractors. Once you navigate there, you'll be able to send subcontractor invitations in exactly the same way you have been.
Adding Admins and Managers
To add, edit, or remove your admins and managers, select Manage Admins under Settings.
To add a new team member to your platform, select +Admin. You'll be able to choose if you're inviting this person as an Admin, a Project Admin, or a Manager. You'll also be able to check off exactly which projects they'll have access to. This eliminates the need for managing a list of internal invitations.
If you need to edit an Admin, Project Admin, or Manager's access later on, you can do so by editing their access and selecting or unselecting projects.
