How do I invite subcontractor workers?

If a subcontractor admin is not available to invite their own workers, a general contractor admin can do it on their behalf.

 

How to get there: To access the 'Inviting Subcontractor Workers' feature, a user must be an admin or project admin and signed into the GoContractor admin portal. Click the 'Workers' tab. Click '+ Worker' button.

 

 

Example Scenario: A subcontractor worker who has not yet registered with GoContractor shows up to the worksite.

However their subcontractor administrator is not present or is not able to send the worker an invitation. How do I invite their workers to GoContractor?

How to Invite a Subcontractor Worker as a General Contractor Administrator or Project Administrator

3. Select “Subcontractor Worker”

4. Select “Invite subcontractor workers via email.” This option allows you to bulk invite subcontractor workers. The "Invite subcontractor worker via email and add profile information" option allows you to pre-register subcontractor workers. This includes updating worker information, uploading documents and more. Information for each worker must be entered individually.

5. Select the worker's company. Note: You will need to have already invited the worker's subcontractor company before you can invite the worker. For more information, check out our article on How do I invite subcontractors to projects?

6. Enter the worker’s email address

Below is an outline a workers invite status

  • Pending: This is an invite that has been sent to a worker, admin, or manager that has not yet been accepted. The user may have accessed the invite link but has not clicked the accept button. 
  • Accepted: This user has logged in and accepted their invitation. They can now complete their orientation.
  • Declined: This user has declined their invitation - however, you can renew the invitation by clicking on the 3 dots under Actions.
  • Withdrawn: This user's invitation has been withdrawn by an administrator or manager. The user can no longer update their qualification for your project and they will not appear in the project list. You can renew this invitation by clicking on the 3 dots under Actions. You can not delete a user as users' accounts are global to GoContractor and not just to your project. A User can delete their own project but withdrawal is the best option on a project-by-project basis.
